Supported Employment is a process of individualizing the employment relationship between employees and employers in ways that meet the needs of both. It is based on a match between the unique strengths, needs, and interests of the individual, and the identified needs of the employer. Supported employment includes the following: 30-Day Placement Plan – a plan that breaks the job search down into a series of tasks and is driven by the job seeker and also includes the job seeker’s personal and professional networks in the job search. The plan includes tasks to be accomplished that month, due dates for each task, and the names of people who are responsible for completing those tasks. This comprehensive plan includes: a. Vocational Assessment b. Job Development and Placement c. Individualized Employment Plan (IEP) d. Personalized Job Development Specialized Job Training Personal Job Adjustment Job Site Adaptation Personal Care Assistance Professional Job Coaching
