The Workforce Development Program (WDP) is designed to integrate people with developmental disabilities into the fabric of the marketplace by assisting individuals to acquire and retain employment, meet milestones and outcomes, and promote financial independence. The design of this program intentionally provides vocational training and employment opportunities for both children and adults who have developmental disabilities to increase independence, self-determination, and productivity. Children services include Community Based Vocational Education (CBVE) and School-2-Work Transition. Employment Services for adults include supported employment in the community for Level 1 and Individual Options Waivers and Customized (Integrated) Employment for Self-Empowered Life Funding (SELF) – a participant-directed Waiver. Other workforce development services include financial independence workshops and training in self-determination.
